The Institution of Fire Engineer’s USA Branch has been working on several new missions to promote membership, education and partnerships with other branches. We have been working to become a test site for IFE programs and developing several new interactions with other professional organizations to bring our message forward.

Bill Kehoe has been instrumental in researching and developing membership programs that can increase our ranks. Everyone needs to involve themselves in promoting the organization and bringing in members who can share ideas for the huge discipline called the fire service. I am sure Bill will be glad to respond promptly so a new member can get through the application process fairly quickly.

Bill Peterson has retired from Plano, Texas after a long and distinguished career and joined FEMA. Everyone from the Branch would like to congratulate Bill on his new appointment.

Bill Kehoe has recently traveled on behalf of the Branch to Hong Kong for the general meeting. Bill will share more from the meeting in upcoming communications.

Your executive committee is committed to working with all agencies from the International Association of City Manager (Bob Rielage is the lead contact). Harry Carter is working with Pennwell and other publications to bring forward the Institution’s presence in today’s fire service.

Gene Carlson continues to be the ambassador for the Branch during his travels throughout the world. Gene has been working hard to provide leadership and guidance to other branches so we can become instrumental in the development of the Institution’s message.

We need your help. As you can see everyone is trying to move the Branch forward but without you we cannot achieve the great things we all want to share.
